BAREFOOT SHOES

Collapsible content

What are barefoot shoes?

Barefoot shoes are like an extension of your feet, designed to allow you to feel the ground as you walk or run. Unlike conventional shoes, which usually have a lot of cushioning and support, barefoot shoes are more flexible and lighter, allowing your feet to move more naturally. So you can enjoy a more authentic walking experience.

For more information check out our article on the Journal.

What are the benefits of wearing barefoot shoes?

Wearing barefoot shoes helps you improve your posture, strengthens your foot and leg muscles, and can reduce the risk of injury. They are also super comfortable and allow you to feel the terrain, which improves your connection with nature - your feet will thank you for it!

You can check our Exchanges & Returns policy here.

I received the wrong item or damaged goods

We’re really sorry if you’ve received the wrong item or if your product arrived damaged. At Brambas we take great care with our quality checks before shipping, but as this is a manual process, mistakes or small defects can occasionally slip through.

If this happens, please email us at hola@brambas.com, describe the issue and attach clear photos of the product. Once we receive and review the photos, Brambas will carefully assess your case and, if necessary, cover the cost of the return and send you the correct items — or provide an appropriate solution depending on the problem.

For more details, please check out the return process on our Exchanges & Returns page, under the section "Wrong items or damaged goods".

How long does it take to process an exchange or return?

The process can take some time, as the package first needs to arrive at our warehouse. Depending on the origin, this may take longer or shorter.

Once the package has reached the warehouse, our logistics centre may need up to 15 days to identify it and notify us of its arrival, but you can keep track of your parcel at any time using the tracking number provided when you start the return process. We always do our best to speed things up as much as possible.

How do I enter my order number to request an exchange or return?

Please follow these instructions when entering your order details:

  • For Kickstarter orders, enter the full order number. For example: KS_LT10_39500789.
  • For Shopify orders, simply enter the last 4 digits of your order number. For example, if your order number is BRAMS1005432, just introduce: 5432.

PRODUCT CARE

Collapsible content

How to clean and care for my Brambas?

Caring for your Brambas is a piece of cake. You will find the specific care recommendations for each shoe in its product page.

Avoid washing them in the washing machine and drying them in direct sunlight, and this will keep them looking as good as new!

How can I extend the lifespan of my Brambas?

To keep your shoes in good condition and make them last as long as possible, it’s important to care for them properly and use them correctly. Using the wrong maintenance methods can reduce both their performance and lifespan.

Follow these tips to prolong their life:

  • Use a shoehorn when putting on your shoes, especially if they have a closed heel.
  • Whenever possible, put on and take off your shoes untied. Avoid forcing them off while still tightly laced.
  • Make sure your foot is properly secured in the shoe using laces, straps, or other fastenings. Wearing shoes without proper support can cause excessive wear on the lining, insoles, or heel area.
  • Rotate your shoes regularly, particularly in damp conditions.
  • Wearing the same pair every day will naturally reduce their lifespan. Remember, the warranty period is not the same as the expected lifespan of the shoes.
  • Allow your shoes to dry and air out thoroughly after each use.
  • Try to avoid getting your shoes wet.
  • Before using them for the first time, treat your shoes with suitable waterproofing and care products.

HEALTH and SAFETY

Collapsible content

Where can I wear my Brambas?

Our shoes are designed to accompany your everyday life, whether for work or for your outdoor activities. Thanks to their lightness and flexibility, they are also ideal for travel, light hiking and city walks, as they provide comfort and freedom of movement.

Moreover, thanks to their design, you can easily carry them in your backpack or suitcase, making them perfect for those who are looking for versatile and practical footwear for any occasion.

How does barefoot shoes affect posture and foot health?

Barefoot shoes encourage a more natural posture by allowing your feet to move as they are designed to move. This can help better align your body and strengthen your foot muscles, which is generally good for your health. Over time, you may notice an improvement in your posture and a reduction in discomfort.

Do I need a transition period when I start wearing Brambas?

If it is your first time wearing barefoot shoes, it is advisable to give your feet some time to adapt. Start by wearing them for short sessions and gradually increase the time. Your body will need a little adjustment, but you will soon feel great in them.

For more information check out our article on the Journal.

Should I use insoles with my Brambas?

At Brambas we have created 4mm transition insoles, designed for people who are new to barefoot footwear, as they allow them to take on the change in a more progressive and comfortable way.

For those who have already started in the barefoot world and are looking for the most natural sensations possible, we recommend removing the insoles and experience the most direct contact with the ground.

So we have both options so that everyone can wear Brambas easily, with or without an insole.

Our 4mm insoles are free and they are included with every pair of shoes.

Can I put my insoles in Brambas?

Of course you can. However, it is important to bear in mind that the insole can reduce the natural sensation of walking barefoot. Minimalist shoes aim to strengthen the musculature of the feet so that they can support themselves, while insoles, on the other hand, decrease the strain on the muscles.

One option would be to use them for a transitional period and then gradually phase them out. Many people who start using insoles when switching to barefoot shoes eventually stop needing them.

In any case, we recommend consulting your podiatrist.

Can I wear socks with Brambas?

You can wear your Brambas with or without socks, whichever you prefer. At Brambas we have designed barefoot socks that have a respectful width and achieve a greater feeling of comfort. We encourage you to try our two models of socks, Crew and Low-Cut.
